alt asymmetry

The following charts display trends in asymmetries between quantities related to bitcoin and various altcoins and tokens.

In particular, each chart's vertical axis represents the difference between two quantities divided by the sum of those two quantities, i.e. (A - B)/(A + B). If A = B, then the result is zero. If A is much larger, the result is near 1. If B is much larger, the result is near -1.

There is one dot per day. The latest dots are encircled. Data are from Coin Metrics, CoinGecko, SolanaFM, and birdeye.

Right chart: total market values vs. time of each of three networks' highest-value derived shiba inu coin or token, expressed relative to the total market value of the native asset of the parent network. The highest points are marked with stars. Note the zoomed-in range of the vertical axis.

Right chart: total fees paid for on-chain transactions on three networks vs. time. Each is expressed relative to the total on bitcoin. Each point represents the simple moving average of the past 7 days' values.
